About

Public health, made genuinely easy to understand.

A free learning resource built by a community medicine graduate to make epidemiology, biostatistics, and preventive medicine clear and accurate.

Public Health Made Easy is a free educational resource dedicated to making public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, preventive medicine, and evidence-based health science clear, accurate, and genuinely useful — whether you are a student preparing for exams, an early-career professional, or simply someone who wants to understand how public health works.

Our goal is simple: to be one of the most trusted, accurate, and easy-to-understand public health learning resources on the internet.

Who writes this

Public Health Made Easy is created and maintained by Dr. Sujith Surendran, MD (Community Medicine) — an aspiring public health specialist with training and hands-on experience in community medicine, epidemiology, research methodology, disease surveillance, outbreak investigation, biostatistics, and health promotion.

Every article and video is written or reviewed with a commitment to scientific accuracy. Content is grounded in recognised authorities and primary sources — including the World Health Organization (WHO), national health ministries and programmes, and peer-reviewed literature — and is updated as guidance evolves.

What you’ll find here

  • In-depth articles and guides explaining core public health and epidemiology concepts in plain language.
  • Educational videos that walk through topics step by step.
  • Study aids — summaries, downloadable notes, quizzes, and reference tools for learners and exam candidates.
  • Practical explainers connecting theory to real-world public health practice.

What we stand for

  • Accuracy first. We would rather be correct than fast or viral. Where evidence is uncertain, we say so.
  • Clarity. Public health is often taught in dense, intimidating language. We make it understandable without dumbing it down.
  • Free access. The core educational content on this site is, and is intended to remain, free to read and use.
